Summer 2015

Greetings!!! Well we are about to start a very busy summer, both at home and at the shop, so I thought it was time for an update. On the home front, we are moving my parents from a four bedroom house to a two bedroom apartment, so lots of things to go through and downsize. Next up and at the same time as moving they are also celebrating 65 years of marriage on June 14. This day and age is a marvel in itself. My husband is going on to the next stage of becoming Bionic as the kids say, with the first of two shoulders that have to be replaced, not a fun time. As for the shop there is also a lot going on, the Wisconsin State shop hop is starting in a few weeks, as well as the Sisters shop hop in September. Fall leaf block swap in August. As for me I am trying to learn about Facebook, so please be patient, as my kids say, “mom you’re in the dark ages”. So read on to get full details.

Brian, has cancelled his summer in Wisconsin this year, so no machine cleaning in June or September. Sorry for any inconvenience.

  • JUNE 5 – 27
  • MON – FRI 9:30 – 5:30
  • SAT 9:00 – 4:00
  • SUN – JUNE 7 10:00 – 2:00
  • JUNE 21 10:00 – 2:00
Stop in and pick up the shop hop newspaper and read about bus trips to be taken to other sections, prizes to be won at each shop as well as the grand prize. Blocks for sale at each shop to be made into a sampler quilt, and to see what all can be done with the Wisconsin fabric. See you at the Hop!!!!

Here is a chance to have some fun with other quilting friends and end up with a colorful fall leaf quilt. Stop in get the details, pick a color and get sewing. The block is an easy one so anyone can join in. You remember jumping into a leaf pile as a kid, so as an adult how about a nap under a quilt of leaves. Swap night is in August so you have plenty of time to get them done.

Join us on Facebook, like, comment, photo, I have been learning a lot about these terms and I hope I can master it. This is a whole new world for me, I thought it was bad when I had to ask my, at that time, 3 year old grandson how to do the volume on my I Pad, sad part is, he knew,,,, and the age gap gets wider every day. My kids are helping me with this so please be patient. So now I am saying to you, “Like Sawdust & Stitches on Facebook” and keep up with all what is going on at the shop, new fabrics, new projects, and all the fun in the quilting world.

  • September 24 – 27
